Please slice them as per your printer requirements. “Normal” PLA can be used as the case should not spend enough time in the bay to allow heat transfer to the lower section of the case.
Feel free to machine your own feet as well. The induction should not reach that low and metal can be used as long as not to heavy.
Foot holding Bracket
Attaching the ARC Feeder to your ARC Precision annealer is a straightforward process. You have a couple of options:
- Double-Sided Tape: You can use double-sided tape to securely attach the ARC Feeder to your annealer. Simply apply the tape to the back of the feeder and press it firmly onto the annealer’s surface.
- Self-Tapping Screws: Alternatively, you can use small self-tapping screws. Drill pilot holes into the annealer’s housing, align the feeder, and then screw it in place. Be sure not to overtighten the screws.

Some additional context about the feet on the ARC Precision annealer. It’s crucial to understand their purpose and potential impact on the annealing process.
The feet serve a role:
Centering the Case: By ensuring that the case is properly centered when dropped onto the bed, the feet help maintain consistent annealing results. Proper alignment is essential for uniform heat distribution.
The feet must be of low profile to prevent triggering the “loaded” sensors at the bottom of the top section of the annealer. This prevents accidental activation when the bed is at its highest position.
Important Safety Note: If the bay is empty (no case present) and annealing is triggered, it can lead to damage to the annealer. Always be cautious and attentive during the annealing process.
Additionally, wear and tear may cause the feet to bounce out. Regular inspection and maintenance are recommended. Experienced users can opt for the special higher-profile foot set, which provides more flexibility based on their familiarity with the product.

Slider Top
If you own some of the older products,, upgrading to the newer Slider Top sounds like a smart move. By allowing maximum foot insertion and enhancing stability, users can optimize their experience with the ARC Precision annealer.
Here are the steps for upgrading to the newer Slider Top:
- Print or Purchase the Newer Slider Top:
- Obtain the updated Slider Top, which provides the necessary clearance for maximum foot insertion.
- If printing, ensure high-quality material and accurate dimensions.
- Access the Annealer Components:
- Lower the annealer bed to access the top section easily.
- Locate the existing Slider Top that needs replacement.
- Remove the Old Slider Top:
- Unscrew the existing M3 bolts and nuts securing the old Slider Top.
- Take care not to overtighten or damage the components during removal.
- Apply Lubrication:
- Add a suitable lubricant (such as “copper grease” or any other decent lubrication) to the contact points.
- Greasing ensures smooth movement and reduces friction.
- Install the New Slider Top:
- Align the new Slider Top with the annealer housing.
- Insert the M3 bolts through the holes and secure them with the nuts.
- Tighten the nuts appropriately without overdoing it.
